Von Georg Simmel kann man lernen, dass es sehr unterschiedliche » soziale Formen « gibt, die aber in jeder Gesellschaft, wenn nicht in jedem größeren Sozialsystem, nebeneinander genutzt werden. Allgemeine Sozialtheorien, die auf der grundbegriff lichen Auszeichnung einer dieser Formen beruhen – ob nun Imitation oder Konflikt oder Tausch –, geraten daher in angebbare Schwierigkeiten.
