The author explores applications of redecision therapy to the treatment of childhood disorders with the goal of preventing later unhealthy script behavior in adulthood. He discusses developmental processes that contribute to fixing a life script in the child's mind and proposes a critical age for script formation. Ways of diagnosing formative script signs are also presented, along with general intervention principles and family and child interventions designed to interrupt the unhealthy script in formation
