The author defines a pervasive victim self-image found in individuals with antisocial personality disorders. Three six-step models of behavior are presented: (1) a behavioral model illustrating the process for achieving a healthy resolution of want- and need-gratification issues, (2) a behavioral model illustrating the process for resolving want and need issues from the frame of reference of a pervasive victim self-image, and (3) a behavioral model illustrating the functioning of the pervasive victim self-image in antisocial personality disordered behavior. The author then presents three examples of common drama-triangle position shifts in antisocial personality disordered acting out of a pervasive victim self-image
