This article identifies ten common symptoms in the presenting problems of ten adult victims of childhood sexual abuse who were in denial about that abuse until recent memory. A description of each symptom is provided. Examples of each symptom in the form of quotations drawn from presenting problem statements are given as is a quantitative representation for each symptom formed by the ratio of the number of presenting problems containing the symptom out of a possible ten. Secondary symptoms, those reported in less than half of the presenting problem statements, are also identified, described, tabulated, and illustrated with direct quotations
