Nicander is Director of the Center for Asymmetric Threat Studies at Sweden's National Defense College. From 1997 to 2002, he was Secretary of the Swedish government's Cabinet Working Group on Defensive Information Operations. A political scientist, he has served in various positions within the Swedish national security establishment. Mr. Nicander is an elected member of the Institute of Strategic Studies in London and a Fellow of the Royal Swedish Academy of War Sciences
