The representation of suffering Mani is given in the third copy of the Coptic Manichaean Homilies. The report from suffering Mani is the Coptic Homilies called Memorandum, which describes his passion from the beginning until death and the ascension of the soul of light. This chapter presents the historical course of Mani's passion. The date that is the most secure is the 'Saturday of capture' and this day is also indicated in the Coptic Manichaean church history. For the Manichaeans the time of Mani's suffering was a counterpart to the suffering of Jesus' time, and such a comparison is made in Coptic and Iranian literature again and again. Manichaeans pagan Ritualgut has been linked to the Christian tradition of believers fasting during the Passion Week of Jesus. This could become a typo for Mani. The original text of the chapter is in German. Keywords: Coptic Manichaean Homilies; Mani's passion; Passion Week of Jesus
