Within the current framework of the debates on the environmental impacts produced by the neoextractivist agricultural model, this paper provides a summary of the history of claims and complaints regarding the effects produced by this model, as well as its alternative proposals and the role that agroecology has acquired, especially in the interface spaces between urban and rural land. Agroecology is thus considered as an alternative that starts from the complex recognition of the ecosystem and contributes to the care of the environment and the social actors that are part of it. In this sense, the Gran Rosario in Argentina is taken as a case study, given its current important role as a producer and agroexporter of soybeans worldwide. Through a mixed qualitative-quantitative methodology, the history of the agrarian transformation of this region is approached, focusing on the study of the environmental conflicts and tensions existing in the intermediate landscapes of Gran Rosario, as well as the development of some alternative proposals based on agroecology. These small experiences are considered as a contribution to the knowledge and development of possible alternatives, from an integrated approach, articulating different actors and diverse knowledge that make possible a new relationship between society and nature
