Does Mal 2:16 quote God as hating divorce, or does the verse – on the contrary – advise men to divorce if they hate their wives? The article engages with the various text-critical issues of Mal 2:16, arguing that the MT, which is to be favored over the variant readings of G and 4QXII a , is indeed best rendered as expressing God’s hatred of the practice of divorce
