Arthaviniścayasūtranibandhana(『決定義経注』)とは,『決定義経』という経典に対する注釈書であり,8世紀ころのナーランダの学匠ヴィールヤシュリーダッタの著作である.梵本にのみ残る同論に対しては,校訂本(Samtani 1971),和訳,英訳,諸研究が存する.校訂本に対してはいくつかの訂正案が提示されてきたが,写本に基づくさらなる読み直しが期待されている.今回筆者は従来の校訂本では使用されていなかった1本を含め,4本の写本を閲覧することができた.諸写本を見直すことによって,従来Samtani氏によって存在しないとされていたG写本の数フォリオが,実際は見いだされることが分かった.また,写本の読み直し,関連文献との対照,チベット語訳としてのみ残る注釈書の参照などの作業によって,従来の校訂本に対して大幅な改訂を加えうることも分かった
