This article investigates some compositional processes used by Hermeto Pascoal in his work Serie de Arco, associated with an imagery of choreography in relation to music. We seek to propose the idea that Hermeto works with the perspective of bricolage in this composition. Therefore, we use analytical resources aimed at delineating musical contours (STRAUS, 2013), rhythmic analysis based on symmetrical operations (SANTOS, 2018), identification and construction of polychords (PERSICHETTI, 1961; CAMARA, 2016) and universal scrambling (CABRAL; GUIGUE, 2017)
