The article analyzes the lived experience of extreme weather suffering among migrant farmworkers in Sonora, within a context of gender inequalities and other structural vulnerabilities. Thirty-one semi-structured interviews and non-participant observation guides were conducted in two agricultural communities in Sonora, documenting material deprivation, precarious employment, and gendered experiences that place these farmworkers in a situation of exclusion and climate suffering. The analysis constitutes an empirical contribution that enables an understanding of this group’s subjectivity and experiences, and their relationship to their objective living conditions, health, and gender. Given the limited sample size, there is a risk of restricting the representativeness of the results and the possibility of establishing causal relationships. However, the results described allow us to understand the different practices and forms of self-care/self-attention employed by farmworkers in the face of extreme cold and heat
