This study examines the implementation of local wisdom-based education policies within the framework of educational decentralization in Indonesia, focusing on the Reog Ponorogo extracurricular program. A qualitative approach through a case study design was used. The study involved 37 participants. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and school documentation, then analyzed using thematic analysis. The results of the study indicate that the Reog Ponorogo extracurricular program successfully integrated local cultural values into educational practices. Students experienced an increased understanding of the history, philosophy, and art of Reog, as well as strengthening local cultural identity and pride. In addition, this program also supports the development of students' social competencies in cooperation, discipline, and responsibility. This study provides an empirical contribution in explaining how local wisdom-based education policies are operationalized through extracurricular programs in a decentralized context, while also demonstrating novelty in linking policy implementation, cultural transmission, and competency development
