In this text I study the films The Boogie Woogie Ghost and Puebla by María Jerez and Silvia Zayas from the perspective of some tensions and forces that cross them and that link them with other films, performance pieces, exhibitions, conferences, and doctoral theses by them and related artists. Some of these forces are: seduction and enchantment of the gaze, attention to the dimensions of the invisible; desire for uncertainty, complex vision of the imaginative fabric of the world, curiosity about everyday and intimate places and things, or the dreams of matter, among others
