Philippe Theophanidis shares this essay in response to the 2020 COVID-19 / coronavirus pandemic. Almost exactly 9 years ago, the world witnessed what has since come to be known as The Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster. Very few of us directly experienced the disaster, but most of us experienced some version of it through various media. Especially in the days following the incident (the weekend of March 12 and 13, 2011) the information circulated by media outlets was as scarce as it was incorrect
