The present study intends to understand how pedagogical documentation contributes to consolidating more inclusive practices in early childhood education. It addresses education of children with disabilities and relates the ideal of education for all to participatory pedagogies. EMEI [Municipal Early Childhood Education School] Luciana Azevedo Pompermayer – São Paulo/Brazil is presented as a professional development unit and is based on research results regarding the construction of participation at three levels: (i) internal to the school context – children and adults in learning experiences; (ii) intermediary – families and the local community; and (iii) external to the school context – sharing good practices.
