This article explores the interdisciplinary relationship between History and Art in the Brazilian educational context. The convergence between History and Art enriches the understanding of historical events through the analysis of artworks that reflect specific periods and contexts. The article presents an interdisciplinary classroom proposal on the Northeastern migration in the 1930s, with an analysis of works by Cândido Portinari through hermeneutics and semiotics. This methodology enhances students' education by developing analytical and critical skills. In this context, teacher training is fundamental, enabling them to incorporate artistic tools into their pedagogical practices. Despite the complexities of the Brazilian educational context, such as the diversity of realities and teacher training, it emphasizes the importance of continuing research and developing pedagogical strategies to enhance the quality of education. The interdisciplinary relationship between History and Art emerges as a promising path for the formation of critical and reflective citizens
