The article aims to develop a model based on the intrinsic determinants of impulse buying behavior using mobile ID in the tourism industry. A questionnaire survey was conducted with 429 participants, and data were collected randomly in various tourist areas and times. Partial Least Squares (PLS) was used to analyze the research model. The results indicated that the use of mobile ID by mobile surfers negatively influences the desire to buy impulsively and impulse buying behavior. The tendency to buy impulsively has a positive influence on the desire to buy impulsively and impulse buying behavior. Self-control negatively influences the desire to buy impulsively and impulse buying behavior, while impulse buying positively influences impulse buying behavior. Self-control weakens the relationship between the urge to buy impulsively and impulse buying behavior. This study is one of the first to provide empirical evidence in the tourism sector to demonstrate the use of mobile identification as an intrinsic determinant of impulse purchase in the context of mobile commerce. It examines mediating, moderating, and control effects
