The article is adapted from a “workplan” speech delivered by the Presiding Judge of the Family Justice Courts of Singapore. It suggests why family disputes must be resolved in way that is distinctly different from other civil disputes and sets out how Therapeutic Justice will be adopted in the Family Justice Courts. Therapeutic Justice in a multi‐disciplinary justice system is not a new concept, but its successful adoption lies in the force of the justice system's formal commitment to it. The workplan speech sets out Singapore's practical plans on what it would take to implement a non‐adversarial, problem‐solving system in the Family Justice Courts
