This paper aims to critically reflect on the language used in responses to interactions with the recent technological innovation, ChatGPT, from the perspective of intersectional performativity and the decolonial approach. We asked the chat to tell a love story and analyzed the narratives produced by the machine and their reformulations according to the human interventions that were made. What stands out are ChatGPT's repeated apologies, the marked presence of stereotypes in the description of the characters and the creation of romantic plots, often in the style of fairy tales. These recurrences reveal that, behind these technological innovations of the present, there is much more of the past than our vain philosophy supposes. The results obtained in this experimental research that analyzes the love narratives produced by AI point to the propagation of a capitalist, Western, white, hegemonic, cis-heteronormative, archetypal worldview of the Global North, which has led us to conclude that the romantic stories manufactured by ChatGPT contribute to maintaining the colonial order of discourses, which validate or not validate race, gender, class, sexuality, culture and existences - being or not being, therefore. For this reason, it is urgent to take a critical and emancipatory stance towards datacolonialism, especially in the fields of language and education
