A Educação Ambiental na Educação Infantil

Environmental Education (EE) is necessary at all levels of school education, as knowledge about the environment contributes to its preservation, as well as the sustainable use of its resources. From this perspective, this work aims to make a diagnosis, through bibliographical and documentary research, of the pedagogical actions of EE that can be developed with kindergarten students. In addition, to present the history of environmental education, its arrival in the school environment and early childhood education and to infer how, appropriated from this learning, students can become conscious agents and multipliers of EE. The number of works that present different methodologies and pedagogical actions aimed at applying EA in schools is increasing. In this article we bring some suggestions for methodologies from different authors, who point out the fundamental importance of encouraging students to be multiplier agents, making them realize that disseminating the concepts learned is important to improve everyone's quality of life. There is a growing number of works presenting various methodologies and pedagogical actions aimed at applying environmental education in schools. The school context should help students to understand the reality in which they live, and to work on it with a view to more environmentally friendly means of production and consumption and a fairer society. Working with environmental education is very challenging, but at the same time pleasurable, and in order for it to be effective, measures must be taken, such as debating environmental awareness processes in society as a whole, so the school becomes the most suitable place to work with environmental education
