The aim of this article is to present the issue of consumption at the Krakow Saint Bernardine convent against the background of the culinary culture of the Republic of Poland at the time. The oldest account book of the Bernardine convent at St Joseph’s Church in Krakow preserves a unique year-round dinner menu. Thanks to the data, it is possible to reconstruct the customs and traditions of consumption and cooking of the Bernardine nuns, the everyday and festive nature of meals in the modern era. At the same time, the information makes it possible to show the standard of living of the nuns and the various aspects of the convent’s functioning in the realities of Krakow in this century. The analysis of the products and dishes eaten by the nuns is presented in the perspective of the culinary heritage of the Republic of Poland in the second half of the 18th century. The set of dishes and products consumed by the Bernardine nuns during the main meal of the day places them in the culinary sphere among the higher social strata
