This study seeks to contribute to the discussion on knowledge production from the perspective of Decolonial Theory, with the Quidé neighborhood located in the city of Juazeiro, Bahia, as the research locus. The central perspectives of analysis are related to the traditional and ancestral knowledge existing in the neighborhood and how they can serve as other possibilities for reflecting on the process of knowledge production. The qualitative approach with bibliographic research was used as the methodology, in a proposal where theory intersects with practice, with the narratives of some representations of the neighborhood, in order to promote other understandings that permeate the notions of ancestry, territory and knowledge. The data collected with the research account for a qualitative perspective and demonstrate the existence of multiple realities in the same territory that express the different possibilities of knowledge production learned through the constructions of the knowledge and actions of the interlocutors and their productions of existence
