Quality of Work Life of Teachers and Leadership Behaviour

The quality of teachers’ professional lives is closely connected with the way they exercise initiative, communicate, coordinate, influence colleagues, and assume responsibility within schools. The present study examined the relationship between quality of work life of teachers and leadership behaviour in Indore district. A quantitative, descriptive-correlational design was adopted. The sample consisted of 100 school teachers selected from government and private secondary and higher secondary schools through stratified sampling. Data were collected using a structured Quality of Work Life Scale and a Leadership Behaviour Scale. Content validity, pilot testing, internal consistency, normality, linearity, and outlier assumptions were considered before hypothesis testing. Descriptive statistics, Pearson’s product–moment correlation, confidence intervals, and simple linear regression were used.
