This paper presents a method to analyze the layer symmetry structure of a textile, representing it as a two-way twofold fabric and applying notions of color symmetry to its corresponding design. In particular, it presents an analysis of the symmetry structures of the binakul textiles or binakul of the Itneg, an ethnic group located in the northern part of the Philippines. The layer symmetry groups of the binakul are determined. Results reveal that the symmetries of the binakul consists of side preserving isometries
