This paper explores the question “Who is Antigone?” through a dialogue between Judith Butler (Antigone’s Claim) and María Zambrano (Antigone’s Tomb). Both authors reinterpret the classical figure not as a prepolitical one—as in the Hegelian reading—but as a political figuration. Antigone’s acts and words reveal, on the one hand, the construction of vulnerable subjectivities—victims of a reason and a history that demand their sacrifice (Zambrano)—and, on the other, the limits of recognition and representation within our political frameworks (Butler). Antigone thus becomes the point of departure for a new political consciousness.
