Measurement is so much a part of our life that we tend to take it for granted; yet, throughout our day, we regularly encounter measures as we check the time, weigh ourselves, buy gasoline and oil for our automobile, hear the temperature and humidity reported and a prediction of rain. At a store, our shopping cart may include a pound of butter, a gallon of milk and a bushel of apples. Just as important are all the measurements that play an integral part in all commerce, manufacturing, and the building trades. These keywords were added by machine and not by the authors. This process is experimental and the keywords may be updated as the learning algorithm improves.
