Usually rendered as Neith‐hotep, the queen's name means “Neith (the creator‐goddess) is content.” On her cylinder‐seal impressions, however, we have the complementary quail chick, so Hetepu‐Neith is another possible reading (“How gracious is Neith”). Names with Neit/Neith were quite common during the 1st Dynasty.
