Puduheba was the influential queen of Hattusili III, king of Hatti ca. 1260s–1230s. In his Apology , Hattusili relates how he married Puduheba, daughter of Benti‐Šarri, priest of Šawuška of Lawazantiya in Kizzuwatna (van den Hout 1997). While returning from the Battle of Qadesh in 1274 ( see Qadesh, Battle of), Hattusili dreamt that Shawushka (the Hurrian Ištar; see Inanna (Ishtar)) instructed him to marry Puduheba. During Hattusili's subsequent reign as king, Puduheba becomes visible in practically every sphere of Hittite documentation.
