Nations are regularly reimagined by young people, who often offer visions of nationhood counter to those constructed by older generations and transmitted through such mechanisms as schooling. Younger generations today have more access to global media, making it harder for older generations to maintain a “bounded” idea of national identity. Likewise, migration across countries creates new possibilities for imagining nationhood and maintaining connections to national communities.
