Despite the growing importance of China–Latin America relations, academic perspectives from China on this topic remain understudied. This manuscript addresses that gap by analysing the 213 articles on the subject retrieved from CNKI through two subject searches covering the period 2013–2025. The findings reveal several key patterns. First, much of the literature is closely linked to China's Party‐State institutions. Second, the economic and political dimensions are jointly dominant and almost equally represented, while the cultural dimension gains ground over the period. Third, the academic discourse on the relationship throughout the period mainly focused on opportunities in spite of new global challenges.
