This paper introduces psychedelic geographies as micropolitical praxis for unsettling the spatiotemporal closures of colonial capitalism, and enlivening alternative ways of being in the present. Building from Indigenous practices, countercultural histories, and the contemporary ‘psychedelic renaissance’, the paper argues that psychedelic geographies, in conjunction with (but distinct from) other radical geographical literatures, can provide important interjection into debates about how radically different experiences of space are experienced and prefigurative. Psychedelic geographies are situated alongside literatures on affect, hauntology, pluriverse imaginaries, and quantum geographies, not to supplant them but to bring them into productive resonance critiquing capitalistic spatial and temporal logics.
