This study empirically examined the relationship between criminal thinking and misogyny in a sample of 503 heterosexual men convicted of intimate partner violence (IPV) and referred to a community-based batterer intervention program. Drawing on survey data collected over two years, the study sought to identify the emotional and cognitive components of misogyny and assess their connection to criminal thinking. Findings demonstrated a significant association between criminal thinking and misogynistic attitudes, providing preliminary support for integrating theories of misogyny with theories of criminal thinking. These findings contribute to theory development and suggest that interventions targeting both constructs may enhance rehabilitation outcomes following IPV convictions.
