The purpose of this work is to present the uses and beliefs of the salt environment of the population that inhabits the trinational Puna de Atacama and in particular in the Salar de Atacama. The ethnographic journey on practices and emotions are recorded and analyzed as a set of culturally relevant social relationships that unfold for different storms around salt with the pastoral, agricultural and mining way of life as a backdrop during the past century and the present
