The author, analyzing materials from a Lusatian culture cemetery at Wicina (Western Poland) attempts to answer two questions. 1. Are Lusatian culture cemeteries representative for biological properties of human groups? and 2. Is a fragment of a cemetery (usually explored during excavations) representative for its whole? The first question is answered positively by analysis of age and sex structure of the buried at the cemetery, the second also finds positive answer after analysis of burials from four separate parts of the cemetery — there are no statistically significant differences between parts of the cemetery
