The article is devoted to the stratigraphic analysis of petroglyphs at one of the planes with numerous\npalimpsests of the rock art monument, Mount Tepsei. It contains zoomorphic and anthropomorphic\nfigures performed using the engraving technique. Nowadays there are a lot of opinions regarding the\ndates of these or those images of this plane. The implementation of the stratigraphic method has given\nan opportunity to follow the sequence of engraving the images on the plane, additional methods allowed\nto determine a certain chronology. As the result of the analysis the following chronological frames of\ncreating the petroglyphs have been determined: from the New Stone Age (?) to the Ethnographic Time.\nGenerally, the results obtained can be used for dating similar images both for Tepsei and other rock\nart monuments of the adjacent territories
