Thank you for this opportunity to respond to historian Guillaume Boccara’s review of my ethnography La Voz del Kultrun en la Modernidad : Tradicion y Cambio en la Terapeutica de Siete Machi. Boccara’s lack of understanding of the anthropological literature, ethnographic methodologies and writing, and his authoritarian imposition of his own perspective cripple his ability to give a fair reading of my text.
