Nos anos 1990, os funcionários das empresas estatais brasileiras realizaram mudanças organizacionais em suas empresas que resultaram em privatização, reengenharia e downsizing. Considero que as diretrizes adotadas resultaram das interpretações e redefinições das demandas do Estado - a chamada reforma neoliberal - pelos agentes em interação no campo do poder da empresa - luta política como luta cognitiva. Nesse sentido, a partir de dados empíricos - entrevistas, questionários, documentos e jornais da empresa - o processo de privatização e reestruturação produtiva é analisado considerando os seus determinantes microestruturais - as configurações e reconfigurações das relações sociais internas à organização -, que produziram um tipo de empresa vendável - conforme aos critérios de agentes financeiros. THE PRIVATIZATION OF A COMPANY: an economic action rooted in social relationships Antonio José Pedroso Neto In the 1990s the employees of Brazilian state-owned companies made organizational changes in their companies which led to privatization, reengineering and downsizing. I believe that the guidelines which were adopted were the result of the interpretations and redefinitions of the State's demands - the socalled neoliberal reform - by the agents of interaction in the company's sphere of power - political struggle as cognitive struggle. In this regard, based on empirical data - interviews, questionnaires, documents and company newspapers - the privatization process and productive restructuring is analyzed by considering its microstructural determinants - the configurations and reconfigurations of the organization's internal social relationships -, which produced a sellable type of company - in conformance with the criteria of the financial agents. LA PRIVATISATION D'UNE ENTREPRISE: une action économique ancrée dans les relations sociales Antonio José Pedroso Neto Dans les années 1990, les changements organisationnels réalisés par les fonctionnaires des entreprises publiques brésiliennes ont abouti à des privatisations, une réingénierie et une restructuration (downsizing). Nous estimons que les directives adoptées sont le résultat de l'interprétation et de la redéfinition des demandes de l'Etat - ladite réforme néolibérale - par les agents qui interagissent dans le champ du pouvoir de l'entreprise - lutte politique mais aussi cognitive. Ainsi, à partir de données empiriques - interviews, questionnaires, documents et journaux d'entreprise - le processus de privatisation et de restructuration de la production est analysé en tenant compte de ses déterminants microstructuraux - les configurations et reconfigurations des rapports sociaux à l'intérieur de l'organisation-, qui ont produit un type d'entreprise vendable - en accord avec les critères des agents financiers.
