Translation and commentary of 4Q 246 (Aramaic) and 4Q 521 (Hebrew). The first document is the trace of a story parallel to that of Daniel. A vision he has had about the end of time is explained to a prince : the coming of an antichrist calling himself " Son of God" will precede the advent of a champion of God who will impose on the world his sovereignty and peace. The principal part of the second document, too, attributes to the Messiah, referred to as such, universal power when God will transform the world and resurrect the dead. The power of the Messiah seems to represent the eminent eschatological dignity of the faithful. Another fragment attests belief in a "bridge" resembling the cinvant of the Iranians
