The growing number of heritage and native speakers in university-level Spanish courses is well documented. Combining these students with non-native Spanish speakers presents unique challenges and offers specific benefits to both language teachers and students. This investigation explores non-native, heritage, and native-speaking students' perspectives on studying in linguistically mixed, upper-level Spanish courses and elicits their suggestions for successfully managing the wide variety of needs represented in their classes
