Molts dels autors que han estudiat l'anàlisi dels rituals deiniciação indiquen la naturalesa paradoxal d'aquests esdeveniments. En aquest article em proposo mostrar com algunes paradoxes són constitutives de Festival de New Girl - ritual oprincipal realitzat per ticunas, la gent de llenguatge del carrer aïllat habitant de Rio Solimões (AM) - que marca l'inici en l'edat adulta dels ticuna noia. Per a això, em referiré als dos principals "ritus condensacions" (Houseman) - és a dir, a l'aparició dels oposats paradoxals patrons relacionals al mateix temps - que això succeeixi de persones: (1a) que es produeix entre homes i dones; i (2a) entre mortals i immortals.
