There is a tendency for many people, especially those in educational circles, to contemplate a definition of studies. When they cannot instantly generate a definition in their heads, they conclude that there is no such thing as studies. Ironically, most of the people in this category, supposedly well-educated, refuse to read, do research, or secure reference sources from the authorities in the field in order to acquire an answer. To say that black does not exist is a complete denial that people existed in the past, present, or will exist in the, future. To say that studies is non-existent is a denial of reality. Elsewhere I have presented three definitions of studies. The reader is referred to this source if he is interested in definitions of AfroAmerican Studies (Smith, 1971)
