Felt Matters” explores the affective and textured labor of transgender embodiment and subjectivity alongside artist Emmett Ramstad's fiber work. The handmade illustrates unimagined configurations of the body, what I call non-predictive gender, while Ramstad's artwork foregrounds a mode of transmasculinity defined by its critique of patriarchal and ableist forms of bodily knowledge and production. The handmade labor of transgender embodiment emphasized here is in dialogue with recent moves in queer scholarship to theorize a philosophy of time
