En situation de migration , les codes culturels des migrants persistent en se transmettant d'une génération à l'autre, tout en se confrontant avec les codes de la société d'accueil ; ils participent ainsi à la diversification culturelle de celle-ci. Les enfants d'origine cambodgienne intériorisent par exemple très tôt comment se comporter et se situer vis-à-vis des adultes qui les entourent. Ils adapteront plus tard ces comportements aux usages de la société française
