Synthesis / Dream* Enrique Verástegui To find God beyond solitude, searching on foot, having crossed history as if by night,to plant a rosebush above the sacred stone altar, an actionthat belongs to the world but not to eternity, the desperation of remaining here,in this world where we were thrown, to floweragainst the unreal, to specify what our hands produce, light flourishing in our hearts, time generating itselfin us now when, in order to reach the flowerwe long for, we've toppled all that has no meaning, that sense of nausea, we owe nothing to this world, when we move away from destiny after having putthe world in its place, and we're a prayer on the rose's lips.
