Hip-Hop no Brasil

The main objective of this thematic dossier is to establish an alliance with the global movement to commemorate 50 years of Hip-Hop, which we understand as a historical milestone reached in 2023. Thus, it hopes to show a tribute to that manifestation that has more than half a century been transformed into the experience of young people and many subjects, of different ages and identifications. (ethnic-racial, gender, sexuality and others), in different regions of the country, including cities, villages and "peripheral" communities, enabling a production of significant meanings for its followers. However, much more than organizing a dossier, it is about bringing together powerful texts that gravitate around the different expressions of Hip-Hop culture in Spain, presenting different readings, but also openings and possibilities for contemporary social thought, without hoping to enclose the debate or produce any pretensions of the entire field of culture
