Autoethnographies consist of a set of qualitative research methodologies whosebackbone is the researcher's subjective material as a way of analysis, that is, the researcher is at the same time the object and subject of the research. Thus, how can the experience of being a reader of a literary work be important for the construction of an interpretation and criticism of a culture around you? Based on this question and my experience as a professor and researcher in the natural sciences, the purpose of this thesis is to carry out a study via an autoethnographic analysis by reading and interpreting Brecht's "The life of Galileo" in 21st century Brazil. For this purpose, this investigation is divided into three chapters. The first chapter brings the approach of the autoethnographic method as a valid form of research, growing in the humanities and its possibility in literary studies as an instrument of critical construction, especially in reading the work "A vida de Galileo".The second chapter consists of a literary analysis of the work "A vida de Galileo" starting from the questions: is there a neutrality in Science? How can the question of the non-neutrality of Science be explored in Brecht's text?In the third chapter, two layers of autoethnographic analysis are presented, carried out through the writing of a year of reading diary of "The life of Galileo" and a second analysis, reflecting on theories and my personal experiences, through the "strangeness effect " brechtian post reading the literary work and writing the diary guided by the central question: how can the vulnerability of dissident bodies be in alliance for the uses and responsible work with Science? In conclusion, autoethnographies enable the expression of voices in alliance as a resistance strategy, fueled by the exposure of vulnerabilities as a way to draw attention to other silenced vulnerabilities as ways to preserve lives, existences and bodies worth living
