This work is, over all, an invitation to the reflection, the questioning of the meaning and the paper of the Interdisciplinarity in the Brazilian pertaining to school reality.What it is intended is to shake opinions, to unpin certainties, to question the use and the dissemination of the concept.In this research we look for to denounce the improvised appropriations attributed to the Interdisciplinarity.We demonstrate the historical process of the educational reforms in Brazil.We investigate the perspectives and contradictions of the concept of Interdisciplinaraty in the curricular formation of the basic education in Brazil.The hypothesis that we try to claim in this research is that the Interdisciplinaraty in the Brazilian basic education still did not obtain to breach the borders of the speech
