ABSTRACT In this paper, we aim to analyze the ways used to mobilize the reader in the writing on the concepts of variation and change in three dissertations selected from the Public Domain Portal - CAPES. Both dissertations were defended in 1979, 1989 and 2011. We follow in our study the proposal of Heterogeneidade enunciativa do dizer, proposed by Authier-Revuz (1998, 2004) in order to investigate the different ways of saying. The results pointed out to three ways of mobilizing the interlocutor's speech, which we call: writing that mark borders, writing that represents a saying and reflective writing of saying.KEYWORDS: Speech.
