Potential und Limitationen von Routinedaten der Gesetzlichen Krankenversicherung (GKV)

Dieser Artikel diskutiert das Potential von Routinedaten der Gesetzlichen Krankenversicherung (GKV) als Datengrundlage für Analysen des Zusammenwirkens von Bildung und Gesundheit. Der Fokus liegt auf der Wirkungsrichtung von Bildung auf Gesundheit. Hierzu zeigen wir auf, welche Bildungs– und Gesundheitsinformationen potentiell zur Verfügung stehen. Zur Generierung relevanter Gesundheitsmaße geben wir einen Überblick über Gesundheitsmaße, die in aktuellen Studien für eine Vielzahl von Ländern verwendet werden. Zudem diskutieren wir Herausforderungen der Analyse des Zusammenwirkens von Bildung und Gesundheitsgrößen, sowie die Vor– und Nachteile der GKVRoutinedaten bei entsprechenden Untersuchungen. Insgesamt stellen die GKVRoutinedaten eine aussichtsreiche Datenquelle dar, um Aspekte abzubilden, die bislang auf Basis von Befragungsdaten nicht untersucht werden konnten
