This article is one of the many steps toward a definition of a videogames aesthetics. It aims to define the circumstances and forms under which a videogame-specific beauty emerges. It argues that the aesthetic tradition begat by Kant can only go so far as describing a fractions of the ludic experiences, because playing remains most of the time an experience driven by an interest. Thus, it introduces the concept of a technical judgement of taste, able to describe the specific aesthetic features of videogames and of other technical activities
